The Election Commission has launched a nationwide voter registration drive aimed at adding more than one million first-time voters to the electoral roll before next year's general election.
Mobile registration units will visit rural districts, universities and workplaces over the next six weeks. Citizens can also verify their registration status through a new online portal introduced as part of the campaign.
